Dear Parent or Guardian:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together through this challenging time. The Ministry of Education has now given permission for parents/students to temporarily access the school to retrieve their personal belongings.

Our Lady of Fatima School is going to begin this process on Monday June 15th and Tuesday June 16th, 2020. We will be allowing parents/students access to the school from (9am-3pm). These are the times that we have allocated for the retrieval of personal belongings. Please be aware you may have to wait upon entry into the school when you arrive.

Step by Step Guide to “Retrieval of Personal Belongings Process”

  1. Please park your car in our school parking lot and bring a garbage bag and your own personal pen/pencil with you for sign in and sign out.

  2. Please come to the front of the school entrance and stand beside a pylon at the entrance into the school. (Please respect the 2 metres, (6 feet) by standing at the pylon in line) If you are aware of your child’s classroom location and their belongings, please enter the school on your own once you are given permission. If you need your child to accompany you to identify their personal belongings then please bring them with you. You are asked to ensure that your child(ren) remains 2 metres (6 feet) from anyone that they may encounter during their time in the school. We are asking that you wear a mask if you have one. If you do not have a mask, then you can still access the school, but be mindful to remain 2 metres (6 feet) away from anyone else in the school at all times.

  1. Upon entry to the school please place any Library Books and Textbooks you may have in the designated bin and then proceed to sign in on the clipboard on the folding table. (Use the hand sanitizer when you have completed this process) Please proceed to the classroom in a timely manner.

  1. If you need to retrieve your child’s medication ie: Epipen, please enter the main office and Mr. Keeler or Mrs. Doherty will distribute it to you there.

  1. Once you have arrived at your child(ren) classroom, you will notice a table in front of the classroom door that will have all students' belongings displayed and/or in bags with students' names on them. Please take your students belongings and use your garbage bag to carry these items.

  1. When leaving the school please ensure that you only exit when there is no one else within 2 metres (6 feet) of the exit door.

Please know that our entire staff is saddened by the events that have impacted your school year. We all look forward to some return to normal. Our primary focus continues to be on your safety and the well-being of all students and staff.

Take care and be well,

Mr. Michael Keeler
